Valentine’s Day Blondies Recipe
Yield: 9 servings
Cooking spray
1 c. flour
1⁄4 t. salt
1⁄4 t. baking soda
1 egg
3⁄4 c. packed light brown sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1⁄2 c. butter, melted and cooled
3.5 oz. white chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with cooking
spray and set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
3. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the egg and brown sugar until light and
frothy (about 2-3 minutes). Beat in the vanilla extract and then the melted
butter. Scrape down the sides of the bowl then, on low speed, beat in the flour
mixture until incorporated. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for about 20
– 25 minutes, or until the blondies are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in
the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs. Remove from oven and
place on a wire rack. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
