So far, the Trump administration has had no rhyme or reason to their antics other than the perpetuation of hate. Trump appears to have a complete disregard for the daily lives of Americans. Democratic Senator Booker comments about the many Americans suffering due to the poor decisions of the President, “A war, obviously driving up costs, taking billions of dollars of taxpayer money and frankly not focusing on the crises Americans are having right now.”
Trump seems to have no idea how to run a country and is unaware of the Constitution it was built on. In a NBC News interview on May 4, 2025, when Trump was asked if he needed to uphold the Constitution, he responded, “I don’t know, I have to respond by saying, again, I have brilliant lawyers that work for me, and they are going to obviously follow what the Supreme Court said” (NBC News). Notice that Trump has appointed three of the Supreme Court judges, and six of the nine judges are Republican. It is clear during this interview that Trump has taken comfort in his all-too-loyal Supreme Court, and has little knowledge of his presidential duties. He intends to do whatever serves himself, not the people of the country.
This man is clearly unfit to oversee anyone’s rights. He has been impeached not once, but twice. For those of you who are not aware, “Impeachment is the process of bringing charges against a government official for wrongdoing. A trial may be held, and the official may be removed from office” (usagov). The Trump Organization, of which he is princpial owner, has also been convicted on 17 counts of tax evasion. Trump has not yet seen consequences for sexual misconduct despite the many suspicious circumstances. There have been two rape accusations, along with sixteen instances of sexual assault and predatory behavior (not including the Epstein Files).
Trump was described as a ‘close friend’ of known sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. Not only was Trump friendly with a sex offender, the New York Times discovered, “More than 5,300 files with references to Mr. Trump and related terms,” in the Epstein Files.
It should be known that Trump is not above the law. He is not above the constitution, which he often ignores when deciding the rights of citizens. He is not a monarch, and we are not living in times of kings and queens, only tyranny. I urge you to remember that change can happen, but only if we work together. More hate is not going to fix things, more violence is only going to make it worse.
