On May 10th NU’s varsity softball team played against Placer Hillmen as their Senior Night game. NU’s seniors Addison Parmenter, Mackenzie Hare, Aila Lyden, and Hannah De Vera were all sent away with a winning score of 11-1 on varsity and 17-7 on JV. Not only did varsity win 11-1, but Shea Connors, a Junior, hit an out of the park home run. When asked to describe her last season of softball, Hannah De Vera says, “Our senior season went really good… at the beginning of our season we were really clicking as a team…” Both Placer and NU lined up on the foul line to watch the seniors be walked from the pitching mound to home plate by their family and loved ones. NU thanks these seniors for the wonderful season and wishes them the best of luck going forward.
