Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Review

Tyler Frandsen

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is everything you want it to be and more. Following the footsteps of the first two movies in the franchise, this installment continues to show that Director James Gunn can successfully balance humor, emotion, and produce some of, if not the best action scenes in a comic book movie.

James Gunn concludes this trilogy perfectly. It has some of the most heart-felt moments between the Guardians and they feel most like a family in the this film. Unlike the first two installments, this movie has some really dark and disturbing moments that will leave you wondering “How is this a Marvel film?”. Every character gets their time shine, but the standout has to Bradley Cooper’s performance as Rocket Raccoon. Finally exploring Rocket’s past, he becomes the heart of this film, and the team itself. Chukwudi Iwuji delivers a terrifying performance as the High Evolutionary, who is the most sadistic MCU villain to date. Concluding the trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is a must see movie.
